
David was born on June 8 1969 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in Canada. But he grew up in Grimsby and St. Catherines, Ontario Canada. He loved sports when he was younger and he played Basketball when he attended University of Toronto. He suffered a major back injury while playing and he was forced to sit out a season. And in the end his athletic career was over.
During the time out from Basketball David found out he had a passion for entertaining. He both directed, wrote scripts and acted. He majored in english litterature at the University of Toronto.
Later he moved to New York where he broke into the entertainment industry by doing commercials. His first televison job was in a episode of the series "Forever Knight" which was taped in Los Angeles. He has since then haved guest starring roles on Will & Grace, Friends, Jack & Jill, Providence, CSI and CSI: Miami.
He is probably most known as Christopher Hayden, Rory's father on Gilmore Girls.
In 2001 he got married to actress Julie McCullough. They got a divorce in 2003.
He is currently living in Los Angeles. In his spare time he enjoys yoga and hockey.
